A coding bootcamp is an intensive course that focuses on the necessary skills for employment as a software engineer. Removing the unnecessary topics taught in Computer Science Degrees, such as theoretical computer science, business processes, methodologies, computer hardware and networking. Topics graduates find they do not need in their role as a Full-Stack, Front-End, Back-End, Web or Mobile Developer. Most of which is often forgotten after University. Our current course only teaches the programming skills and information needed to develop Full Stack Web Applications. To fulfil the role as a Full Stack Web Developer or create your own application as a hobby or business. There are other coding bootcamps out there...
1. Value for money:
As you may know already, most coding bootcamps normally charge between £8,000 to £14,000 for an eight to twelve-week intensive course. We work hard to keep our prices as low as possible. We cut as much as we can on the costs needed to run the course so that we can offer you more for less. However, we maintain - if not invest more - in the quality of our teaching, through skilled and qualified instructors. Our teachers are Software Engineers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, who have experience in both coding and teaching. All of our courses are taught in-person. We know that online courses sacrifice the many benefits of face-to-face teaching. We also provide interactive resources to help support your learning so that our instructors can tailor their teaching around your individual needs and pace of learning.
2. Barrier to entry:
Our affordable six-week course covers all the fundamental skills needed to develop your first Web Application, for you to start building a portfolio. The online portfolio (Git Repository) is what most companies/employers check to see if you have the necessary knowledge and/or skills. This is normally accompanied by a coding test or technical interview. We teach the fundamentals needed for this, starting with how to code in Python (based on its use in industry and focus on learning). Unlike most bootcamps, we don't expect you to learn this on your own because it is arguably the hardest part and requires the most support. We then let you, after building your first app, go on to build more after being grounded in the core skills needed.
